Problem with savefs of btrfs partitions

Post by de3m3042 » Thu May 24, 2012 8:22 am

Hello *,
trying to backup btrfs partitions I get the following message

# ./fsarchiver-static-0.6.13.x86_64 -v savefs NORMA-sda3.fsa /dev/sda3
fs_btrfs.c#156,btrfs_getinfo(): this filesystem has features which are
not supported by this fsarchiver version.
oper_save.c#1054,filesystem_mount_partition(): cannot save filesystem
attributes for partition /dev/sda3
removed NORMA-sda3.fsa

I am using openSUSE 12.1
# uname -a
Linux norma 3.1.10-1.9-default #1 SMP Thu Apr 5 18:48:38 UTC 2012 (4a97ec8)
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The partitioning is
# fsarchiver probe
[======DISK======] [=============NAME==============] [====SIZE====] [MAJ] [MIN]
[sda ] [LD 0 RAID5 1430G ] [ 1.36 TB] [ 8] [ 0]

[=====DEVICE=====] [==FILESYS==] [======LABEL======] [====SIZE====] [MAJ] [MIN]
[sda1 ] [ext4 ] [BOOT ] [ 125.00 MB] [ 8] [ 1]
[sda2 ] [swap ] [SWAP ] [ 6.00 GB] [ 8] [ 2]
[sda3 ] [btrfs ] [ARCHIV ] [ 200.00 GB] [ 8] [ 3]
[sda5 ] [btrfs ] [ROOT ] [ 258.00 MB] [ 8] [ 5]
[sda6 ] [btrfs ] [WURZEL ] [ 30.00 GB] [ 8] [ 6]
[sda7 ] [btrfs ] [TMP ] [ 2.00 GB] [ 8] [ 7]
[sda8 ] [btrfs ] [VAR ] [ 1.13 TB] [ 8] [ 8]

Any idea what's going wrong ?
I can provide more details, if needed
Thanks in advance

Support for new btrfs features have been added in fsarchiver-0.6.14.
Can you please try with this new version ?

Dear admin,
I tested successfully the static binary
fsarchiver-static-0.6.15.x86_64
with openSUSE 12.1
Kernel 3.1.10-1.9-desktop
Btrfs v0.19+20120406
and also with SystemRescue CD 2.7.1
Kernel sysresccd 3.3.7-alt271-amd64
Btrfs Btrfs v0.19
Thanks a lot

Many thanks for your test. You can also use SystemRescueCd-2.8.0-beta to get the latest fsarchiver without having to update it.
