Cannot implement the simplest archive, a single FAT32 partit

Post by fergus » Fri Apr 06, 2012 2:22 pm

Hello,
Sorry, I seem to be defeated by the simplest requirement.
I am using KNOPPIX v.6.7.1 kernel 3.0.4 and fsarchiver 0.6.13 (2012-03-04)
The required partition /dev/sda1 FAT32 is definitely not mounted.
The intended archive location is definitely mounted (ext2 mounted at x/)
The command I issued is
./fsarchiver-static-0.6.13.i386 savefs /x/mysda1 /dev/sda1
but what I get is
oper_save.c#1032,filesystem_mount_partition(): cannot mount partition [/dev/sda1]: filesystem may not be supported by either fsarchiver or the kernel.
And yet everything shows up ok using
./fsarchiver-static-0.6.13.i386 probe simple
I guess I am being a little bit dim. Please can you help?
Fergus

fsarchiver doesn't support FAT32.
