Hello,
I have 2 related questions :

1/ When '"savefs" with no error on files (even in a mounted FS), can i be sure 100% that's a clean backup ?

2/ I'd like to use fsarchiver on my production machines but its actual version say it is not yet ready.
When do you think it will be ?

Thanks.

The ntfs support is not ready for production, this particular filesystem is more difficult to implement.

On which platform / filesystem do you want to use it ?

I am using fsarchiver for my own backups on linux with ext3 and reiserfs and I have no problem. You should do a backup and make a disaster recovery test to see if you can restore the backup successfully on your own configuration. If this complete test works with no problem you can probably use it.

Also, it's recommended to use LVM snapshot for backups for consistency:
