What's this file ?

Post by pat » Fri Oct 12, 2012 6:09 am

Hi,

This my backup script:

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash
timestamp=`date '+%d_%m_%G_%H%M'`
/usr/sbin/fsarchiver -A -a savefs /home/technik/sambamounts/storage/BACKUP/ubuntu_dcm_bak_$timestamp.fsa /dev/sda1
my Problem is that i always get 2 files. The .fsa and one called cifs5a0....what it that ?
Do i need it ?

The weird thing is i've never seens this until i came back from vacation and a colleague messed with the script.
Can anyone tell me how to avoid it ?

It's almost the size of the backup which is quite a lot and we don't have that much diskspace around here.

Thanks for your reply.
I've deleted it and now it doesn't seem to be created anymore.
