Cloning running system with rw mounted fs

Hi,

I just cloned remotely one Centos Linux computer thousands of kilometers away with Mondorescue. http://www.mondorescue.org/ It worked fine, even / was mounted read-write. Only additional thing I had to do, was giving the name for the / -partition with e2label.

What I would like to know is that how fsarchiver is different when backing up rw -mounted filesystem ? I have get the impression that Mondo in somehow monitors the changes of files during the backup.

Is there any difference between reliability with rw-mounted fs between these programs ? Any risk that system wont boot ?

This is more like a feature request,

Would it be possible to monitor files using kernel inotify during the backup and take additional copy of those after the all files are archived once.

I just did a quick test with inotify and it looks good for monitoring files.
