problem when restore into virtualbox

Hi All,

I have backup my ubuntu server from physical pc , I now trying to restore it into virtualbox .

I have got this error:

Fatal: no bootable medium found! System Halted

any idea?

You have to follow all the things involved in the boot process.

1. the BIOS of your VBox has to use the right device (HDD not cdrom)
2. The MBR of the disk has to contain the right startup code
3. Your boot loader has to be properly configured (grub)

In other words, you probably have to reinstall grub by hand. fsarchiver is only doing its job: copying a filesystem. Restoring the boot loader is not its job.
