Skip compression of uncompressible file types

Is compression implemented in such a way that fsarchiver could skip the compression step for files matching a certain pattern? Fsarchiver operations could be sped up significantly for some users if large chunks of nearly-incompressible data (media files, encrypted files, smaller compressed archives....
