Ah! My mistake was in first using Menu selection S, for save to image. P should have been first, for selecting the path.
Thanks!

Re: fsarchiver_dialog, frontend for clone partition

This is a great idea. I am having a little trouble however because the terms "source" and "target" (or similar) are not used in the initial screens, and I am having a bit of trouble to determine exacty "which is which." I am going to do a bit of trial and error and see it I can figure it out, but it...

'exclude' syntax for excluding multiple files/directories

The December 14 illustrations on exclude syntax described everything, except for one point: Also it's important to understand how --exclude is implemented: 1) "--exclude=xxx" can match both files and directories (including links, special files, ...) 2) when "--exclude=xxx" matches a directory, all i...

Re: Problem with CMD line syntax to begin imaging

Great, I'm going to try it right away. umount /mnt/backup And, just out of curiosity, since I'm running this from a "live" disk, what's the significance of the unmount ? Would the source or target be damaged in any way, if one were just to exit terminal and reboot? I'm really a Linux newbie, and I a...
